Slatersville Congregational Church is known in the community as “the church that prays”. We offer an ongoing e-mail Prayer Chain, a weekly Zoom Group, and the sharing of Joys and Concerns during our weekly Sunday services.

Prayer is an essential part of faith for many believers and can bring joy, comfort, and security. One can express gratitude for blessings joyfully received or give thanks for sustaining strength during difficult times. It’s also a way of putting faith into action through works that may be accomplished afterward. Prayer serves as a reminder that our ultimate hope is in God rather than any earthly thing. It provides guidance while turning our hearts and minds away from worry and instead to the One who holds all things together in perfect harmony.
