Christian Education is an important part of our spiritual growth and tradition.
Our Sunday School was originally established in 1808 and is one of the longest continually operational church schools in the country. The school year opens in September and runs through early June. Classes are available for Pre-School through Grade 8 and are held during the latter part of the morning worship service. A fully staffed nursery is available year-round. The first Sunday of each month our youth stay in Church for Communion.
These classes are held every other year for young people aged 13 and older. The course is guided by the minister and lay teachers and includes an individual mentor for each student.
Vacation Bible School:
This fun-filled week is usually held during the second week of July from 9 AM to Noon. It is free to all who attend and any child is welcome. The week is based on a theme from the Bible and includes games, stories, crafts, outdoor activities, and snacks.
Adult Bible Studies:
Study groups meet once a week for approximately 8 weeks of education. Topics vary depending on input and interest of the attendees. The classes are led by the minister and/or members of the congregation.
