Bell Choir Notes – June 2024
Summer is in full swing as our music ministry enters a time of transition. The Handbell Choir will be taking a break over the summer, however a smaller group will play occasionally over the next few months! Due to changes in personnel, I am looking for more people who may be interested in ringing with us! Please contact me or any current ringers for more information. Reminder: you do not need to read music to play–we will teach you!
I will be attending some handbell workshops over the next couple of months including a Handbell Camp in Griswold, CT and the Handbell Musicians of America National Seminar held in Hartford, CT. I look forward to ringing with people from around the country and returning with some fresh ideas! And don’t forget, the Merrimack Valley Ringers will be performing in our sanctuary on June 1st at 7pm!
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the congregation for their continued support of the Handbell Choir. It gives us a lot of joy to bring music to our services in a unique way. I would also like to thank John Staples for his musical service over the past 18 years. He is one of the most talented musicians I have known, and working with him has been a pleasure. I wish him well as he moves into his next musical calling. We will miss him!
Happy Summer!!
