A heartfelt welcome to our visiting Minister, Rev. John Shaw, or “Pastor John” as he prefers to be called.
Pastor John earned his Bachelor of Science in Education from UMass Boston, and then a Master’s Degree in Education from Framingham State University before earning his Masters of Divinity from Andover Newton.
He taught school for 25 years before going into the Ministry.
Pastor John was Ordained in 1996 and has preached from Maine to Connecticut and now, Rhode Island.
He has been married for 57 years, has 2 grown children and seven grandchildren.
Pastor John has published a book of spiritual poems, all of which came from the poetry he wrote to end his sermons during his years of ministry.
We welcome Pastor John to Slatersville Congregational Church and look forward to his time with us and his ministering among us.
