Blessing Bags are Back!
by Joanne Paquin
Our Blessing Bag Ministry is returning on Sunday, October 25th, and we would love your help!
This year, we are looking to fill two-gallon bags with travel-sized personal-care items and individually wrapped, nonperishable foods. For those of you new to Blessing Bags, these bags are given to people experiencing homelessness or to those staying in shelters, providing a few practical items to help meet their immediate needs.
How You Can Help?
From now through October 18th, we are collecting donations of travel-sized toiletries and individually wrapped food items.
After purchasing your donations, please drop them off at the church. A trunk labeled “BLESSING BAGS” will be located in Globe Hall for your donations.
On Sunday, October 25th, we will gather as a community to assemble the bags. Each bag will include an encouragement card before being distributed to people in our community who may need a little extra care and support.
Our goal is to collect enough supplies to make 50 Blessing Bags.
