Interested in playing (or subbing) with the SCC Handbell Choir? We will start up rehearsals again on Thursday, August 27 at 6:30pm. ALL ARE WELCOME! You do not need to read music, but if you do, great!! We will teach you everything you need to know. The first step is to try! No pressure.

If you are up for a challenge, Lil’ Rhody Ringers is a community handbell choir, copper-level (intermediate/reaching for advanced), that is always open to new members! We rehearse twice a month at SCC, and we play more secular music. Contact me if you’d like to join us or be a sub!

On Saturday, August 29, starting at 11am we will be hosting a “Bell Care & Repair” event at Slatersville Congregational Church. Please spread the word to other handbell choirs or musicians you may know! Do you have any “sick” (Schulmerich or Malmark) handbells or chimes? Do you need to disassemble and reassemble your bells and replace some parts? Do you want to super-polish your bells? Bring them to this event for some guided maintenance! The SCC Handbell Choir has been asked to perform at the Bell Ringing and Closing Ceremony to commemorate the nation’s 250th celebration during Constitution Day, on Thursday, September 17th at SCC, 4pm! More details to come!
